PRIMER DESEMBARCO CARLOS V TAZONES CAROLUS V EMPEROR

Tazones is now ready to receive Emperor Charles V

On Saturday August 24th there will be a historical recreation to remember the ephemeris

Tazones will host on August 24th a new edition of his already traditional landing of Charles V, an event that has been held in the Asturian town for three decades.

Hundreds of spectators will relive the moment when Charles de Hagsburg, then heir to the Crown of Castile, arrived on the Spanish coast to collect what belonged to him by inheritance. And the first place in our country that stepped on was the Asturian town of Tazones on September 19, 1517.

Program of activities

Apart from the aforementioned historical recreation, of which you have an advance in the video that accompanies these lines, all kinds of activities will happen throughout the day: from games in the square to stalls with typical products, through workshops and trades —confection and display of fishing gear, dyeing the sails, making nets for the nets, and so on. There will even be traditional dances to end the day with the recreation of the landing of Charles V, an event that has been taking place in the Asturian town for three decades.

House of the Hevia of Villaviciosa

The celebrations in commemoration of the arrival of the future Emperor Carlos V will be transferred the next day August 25th to Villaviciosa, whose historic center will walk the monarch and his entourage.

In this sense, we must also say that our network of lines will grant House of the Hevia the Seal of the Collaborating Center, as it did a few weeks ago with the Carlos V Museum in Mojados (Valladolid), on Friday 23th at 12:00.
