The «Emperor Concerts» return to the Royal Monastery of Yuste. On this occasion, the Singer Pur group will be in charge of delighting all the people who attend the concert, which will be held on Sunday, October 6 from 1:00 p.m. in the monastery.
Last time this year to enjoy the ‘Emperor Concerts’, a series of concerts organized by the European and Ibero-American Academy Foundation of Yuste, and with the participation of National Heritage and the Goethe Foundation; and that also have the participation of the Royal Theater. An event that will include a visit for all those who wish to attend the concert.
On this occasion, the group chosen to offer the recital scheduled for October 6th is Singer Pur, a group that has a trajectory of more than twenty CDs, several of them winners.
Singer Pur is a group that is characterized by not having stylistic limitations in its programs, ranging from medieval to avant-garde music. His repertoire also includes a set of new compositions and arrangements written exclusively for them.
This ensemble often collaborates with musicians as diverse as jazz composer and clarinetist Michael Riessler, clarinetist David Orlowsky, as well as with The Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, The Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Köln, The Ensemble Musikfabrik, Ensemble Modern and The Hilliard Ensemble, with who collaborated in various concerts and recordings, including their last concert in Germany prior to their final withdrawal from the stage.
Thus, as an example, two Renaissance music albums received Le Choque de l’année from the French music magazine “Le monde de la Musique”; and three others, the ECHO Klassik award in 2005, 2007 and 2011, considered the most prestigious award given to a CD in Europe. In 2013, the group received the prestigious Belgian Caeciliaprijzen award for its Roland de Lassus CD.
Also, Singer Pur was recognized with the Regensburg City Culture Award in 2008, with the Bayerischer Staatspreis für Musik – the Bavarian state prize for music – in 2013, with the Fritz-Goller-Preis and with the prize of the Friedrich-Baur-Preis Academy of Fine Arts in 2014.
