The Losar de la Vera Malaria Interpretation Center (Cáceres) will develop a program of activities coinciding with the Emperor’s Route
What La Vera was like at the time of Emperor Charles V? How it was the life in their different populations? These will be some of the topics that will be discussed from January 31st to February 2nd at the Interpretation Center of Malaria in Losar de la Vera (Cáceres).
The weekend of January 31st, February 1st and 2nd will be full of activities in the region of La Vera. In addition to the celebration of the XXI edition of the Emperor’s Route, which runs between the castle of the counts of Oropesa, in Jarandilla de la Vera, and the Monastery of Yuste, you also have to pay attention to the activities that the Center of Interpretation of Malaria throughout the weekend.
That center will hold activities designed to complement the content of the Emperor’s Route with another vision of la Vera and the figure of Charles V. Consequently, visitors will be able to expand their knowledge about Charles V’s disease, the environment, conditioning factors, background, etc.
One of the activities programmed by the center is the conference The health of Charles V. The importance of food on health, which will be taught by Mr. Julio Valles, who will take a tour of the diseases suffered by the emperor throughout his life due to food; and how, even more today, food remains the main responsible for those diseases. This conference will be held on Friday, February 31 from 5:30 p.m. at the Losar de la Vera Malaria Interpretation Center.
Also, during Saturday and Sunday, guided visits will be made through the interpretation center every hour, which will allow visitors to learn more about the disease of malaria, in addition to a room dedicated to Emperor Carlos V and his relationship with thad desease.
