Business Insider Spain highlights Cuacos de Yuste and Guadalupe in a list of 8 of the most beautiful villages in Extremadura
Extremadura is full of charming towns and villages with a soul. And of all of them, Business Insider wanted to highlight eight. Two of them, Cuacos de Yuste and Guadalupe, are part of our route network.
Business Insider Spain has highlighted eight towns in Extremadura as a tourist destination for the summer of 2020. Towns with as much soul as marvels to share with all the visitors who come to see them.
As they point out in an article, Extremadura has a historical legacy that has its roots in prehistory, with towns and villages where Romans, Jews and Arabs have walked the streets, not to mention the Emperor Charles V himself.
Members of the Emperor Charles V network of routes
Two members of this route network, Cuacos de Yuste and Guadalupe, stand out from the list drawn up by Business Insider Spain. Two wonders with so much to offer that we would need hours to highlight them all.
Of Cuacos de Yuste he says the following, among many other things: «It offers the visitor a perfect reflection of the traditional mountain architecture of the area and an outstanding historical heritage that has its maximum exponent in the Monastery of Yuste. This was rebuilt in the 16th century on the remains of a previous 15th century convent by the Emperor Charles V, who stayed there after his abdication.
Meanwhile, about Guadalupe, this magazine recognizes that «it’s undoubtedly one of the most visited places in Extremadura. Part of this is undoubtedly due to the fact that the Royal Monastery of Guadalupe is located in this town. Declared a World Heritage Site, it has witnessed unique moments in history such as the audience in which the Catholic Kings offered the ships to Christopher Columbus».
Two tourist destinations, we insist, to visit with calm and responsibility this summer 2020.
