It is one of the great moments of the year that is celebrated in the so-called Village of the fairs
Medina del Campo will celebrate its customary Renaissance Week from 12th to 21st August. An event full of activities for all audiences and which will also include the Mapping Me! festival. In addition to parades, there will also be a market distributed throughout the streets of the town.
An event full of recreations that are worth experiencing in situ, as you can see in the photographs. In addition to this, there is the traditional period market, the Imperiales y Comuneros fair, which this year celebrates its 15th edition, which you can enjoy between 18 and 21 August. To give you an idea, this market usually brings together around 300 stalls distributed throughout the streets of the historic centre of Medina del Campo.

An event, in short, that recalls the episode that took place on 21 August 1520, when troops of Emperor Charles V, in the midst of the war between imperial and communal forces, set fire to the city as punishment for refusing to hand over the artillery to the imperial forces.
