This is an association whose costumes are common in many of the parades of the historical re-enactments that take place along the Network of Routes
The Royal Seamstresses Cultural Association of Medina del Campo is another of the new members which has joined the Cooperation Network of the Routes of the Emperor Charles V. An association whose rich costumes will make the re-enactments carried out in the network more colourful, as well as following the line of historical rigour established in everything related to the costumes shown in these re-enactments.
A total of 50 women and 20 men make up an association that stands out for the making of specific costumes for periods such as that of Isabella the Catholic or the Emperor Charles V, and which has always played a great role in events that have been held in different places related to the history of Spain, especially in Medina del Campo and its Renaissance Week, or the arrival of the emperor to other places on our routes such as Valdestillas or Laredo.
One of the great values of this association is its costumes, which recreate those worn during the time of Emperor Charles V. In addition, it will eventually have a group of men who will play the role of soldiers. That is why they will dress as soldiers.
In fact, the first activity in which the association has already participated as a member of the Cooperation Network of the Routes of Emperor Charles V, together with the Cristobal de Mondragón Company, was the arrival of the emperor at La Horcajada, a town in the province of Ávila through which he passed on his way to Yuste.

For the coming year, the association will be setting up various workshops to disseminate the work carried out by the association, as well as various activities of which we will provide full information.
If you would like to find out more about this network, we invite you to watch this interview (in spanish) with its president, María José Blanco, and its vice-president, Francisco José Macías.
