Mojados presents its Ecotourism 2024 programme

The event, which runs from May to August, includes fifteen activities that allow visitors to get to know its natural environment

Mojados has launched the fifteenth edition of Ecotourism, which will run from May to August. The programme includes fifteen activities for all ages. Its aim is to raise awareness of the natural charms of the municipality and its surroundings.

Ecotourism 2024 is Mojados’s commitment to visitors to get to know the natural environment of the town where the future Charles V and his brother Ferdinand met in November 1517.

The fifteenth edition of this event consists of fifteen activities that showcase the greatest natural charms of the municipality and its surroundings. The activities are free of charge and are designed for all audiences. To enjoy them it is necessary to register on this website, and the activities will be announced as the dates approach.

In May there will be four activities: the Cega trail (Sunday 5), the route between the Pirón and the Eresma river (Sunday 12), «The other inhabitants of Mojados» (Sunday 19) and bird watching in the Raso de Portillo Lagoons (Sunday 25).

Those planned for June are: environmental route by electric bicycle (2 June), excursion from El Llano to Valhondo (8 June), Nature with Flavour activity (15 June) and Al Cardiel route along the banks of the Cega (22 June).

In July, the nights will be the protagonists of the events. Thus, on the 13th, the night of the bats will be celebrated, on the 20th there will be a full moon walk, and on the 27th there will be a trail along the Cega river.

Finally, in August there will be another excursion from El Llano to Valhondo scheduled for the 3rd, the nights of the Perseids on the weekend of the 10th and 11th, and the activities will end on the 20th, with a night walk in the light of the full moon that is expected to shine in the sky that night.
