It can be visited in Laredo, in its old town hall, until September 28th
The exhibition ‘The last landing of Charles V. Beyond the scene’ can be visited from the 6th of September until the 28th in the old town hall of Laredo. The exhibition includes clothing and various objects used by the El Palenque Cultural Association in the annual recreation of the landing in the Cantabrian town.
This year, due to the circumstances arising from the COVID-19, it’s not possible to carry out the events related to the emperor that can be enjoyed along our network of routes. However, as with other activities, in Laredo they have been reinvented to offer the atmosphere that, year after year, is exhibited in the historical recreation that recreates the last landing of the Emperor Carlos V in La Salvé Beach, in Laredo.
In the exhibition you can see the clothes used by the members of this association to recreate that landing, and which can be seen throughout the exhibition.
Likewise, it is necessary to highlight the participation of the Cristóbal de Mondragón Company of Medina del Campo, which has collaborated in the assembly of this exhibition with three suits of thirds and different halberds.
